Important But Basic Information On Eyelid Surgery Commonly Known As Blepharoplasty

By Tim Gorman Plastic surgery is becoming more commonplace, and one very popular procedure is blepharoplasty. This involves removing excess fat from the patient’s upper eyelids. Any excess muscle or skin is also removed, which helps to give the eyes a younger and more vibrant appearance. For someone with upper eyelids that appear to drop, or who has excessive bags under the eyes, this procedure can be enormously beneficial. Often it’s done in conjunction with other types of facial surgery, giving the whole face a more youthful appearance. Generally, this type of surgery is best performed on someone who overall has a good self-image, but just feels their eyelid area is having a negative impact on his or her appearance. It’s important to be realistic about what blepharoplasty can achieve, and discussing potential outcomes with your surgeon is a good idea. There’s a certain level of planning involved before the surgery can be performed, and you will need to undergo a few basic medical tests. These include testing your vision, as well as the ability of your eyes to produce tears. When you are discussing blepharoplasty with your surgeon, make sure you give clear instructions about which lids are to be worked on. Some patients may only want their upper eyelids altered, while others wish to improve the appearance of all four lids. Making your wishes clear to the surgeon will reduce the chance of miscommunication. If you’re not sure about anything to do with the procedure, ask your questions during the consultation phase. Your surgeon is an expert, and so can give you the best information about your operation and what it can achieve. Also, make sure you get a comprehensive quote for the surgery, which includes all the extras required. That way you wont get any nasty shocks afterwards. Blepharoplasty is an outpatient operation, and can usually be performed in the plastic surgeon’s own facility. Local anesthesia is used, which means the eye area will be numb but you will still be aware throughout the procedure. Generally, however, the surgeon will administer sedatives and perhaps painkillers, so that the surgery is less distressing. Afterwards, your eyelids will be sore. It’s important to keep your head elevated for as much of the day as possible, to help minimize bruising and swelling after the operation. A good plastic surgeon will want you to visit again about a week after the surgery, to make sure you are progressing well. It’s generally possible to get back to normal activities in around ten days, and strenuous activities can be recommenced after around three weeks. It’s possible, however, that the eyelids will still remain slightly pink for up to six months. But eventually that will fade too, leaving you with attractive new eyelids. Your Next Experience Immediately After Death: What Really Happens After You Die

By Tyrone Keels It all depends on who you trust for information. If you believe that the first human beings were created by GOD as stated in the Bible, then you know that according to the Bible nothing happens immediately after death. That’s right, absolutely nothing. You remain in the grave until either the first or the second resurrection. According to the Bible, when a person dies, the thoughts cease and the breath of life returns to God. (Psalms 146:4) Neither heaven nor hell is an immediate experience after death. Even many religious people have not studied the Bible enough on their own to understand this. However, if you don’t believe that GOD is CREATOR, then you do not know, for sure, what will happen after death. Most every form of religion, not based upon Bible teaching, asserts that a part of every human being continues to live on after death; that we never really die. It is explained that the soul lives on. This in essence is immortality. Are human beings immortal ? Is there something inside human beings that is immortal ? Whether you believe in God or not, it may interest you to know that the devil has something to say about death and it is recorded in the Bible. According to him, and he was the first one to say so, you never really die. In the Bible, the first conversation about death was between Eve and the serpent. The serpent was being used as a medium of communication by the devil. And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which [is] in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: (GENESIS 3:2-4) God had said that Adam and Eve would die if they ate fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil but the serpent had said they would not surely die. God’s words indicated that they were mortal and the serpent’s words suggested that they were immortal. The Bible reveals the being who is represented by the serpent and the work that he does in this world. Here are the words of scripture – And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world. (REVELATION 12:9) Deceiveth the whole world ? Can the devil be trusted to tell the truth about death ? Evidently, some people mistakenly think so. Very many people believe that some part of every one still lives after death. Yes, maybe even you believe in the immortality of the soul. WHAT IS A SOUL ? How did it come into existence ? Why not ask God the CREATOR ? Since the Bible is declared to be His word, let us look there for an answer. The word soul or souls is mentioned in the Bible 498 times. The Hebrew word for soul in the Old Testament is Nephesh. It means – a breathing creature. There are 2 exceptions – Job 30:15 and Isaiah 57:16. In Job 30:15, the Hebrew word from which the word soul is derived is Nediybah. It means nobility; as in reputation. In Isaiah 57:16, the word souls is derived from the Hebrew word Neshamah. It means – a puff. Not once does the word soul mean anything that separates from the body at death. And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (GENESIS 2:7) Here is the first occurrence of the word soul in the Bible and an explanation of what it is. The breath of life from God plus the dust of the ground equals a living soul. Man does not have a soul, man is a soul. Read it again. Man is a living soul. The breath of life from GOD breathed into man made him alive. Still don’t believe it ? And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul. (1 CORINTHIANS 15:45) In the New Testament the Greek word from which the word soul is derived is Psuche. It means breath. The Bible also makes it plain that souls can die. Death and life are not the same thing.”The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” (EZEKIEL 18:20,4) According to the Bible there is no “spirit” or “immaterial essence” called a soul that leaves our body at death. Nothing separates from the body to go to heaven or hell. If there is a part of any human being that cannot die, then that part of them is immortal. Yet, God has never suggested that we are immortal. Our heavenly FATHER and JESUS “Who only hath immortality… (1 TIMOTHY 6:16) will bestow immortality, as a gift upon those whose characters are like that of JESUS CHRIST when HE returns the second time. Because the human body is subject to a decaying process in death, it is referred to as being corruptible but God promises that this will not always be so. “For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 1 CORINTHIANS 15:53,54 Still someone may ask, BUT WHERE DO YOU GO AT DEATH ? Don’t people come back as spirits and haunt houses after they die ? Does God allow some people to come back from the grave with messages to their loved ones ? Again, we return to the Bible for an answer. – [As] the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no [more]. He shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him any more. JOB 7:9,10 What about the apparitions and ghosts or spirits that many people believe they have seen ? First of all, one needs to remember this and never forget it. God can work miracles but not all miracles are from God. It could appear that a person had returned from the grave but would God be the power behind the apparent miracle ? The word of God informs us that there is another source of miracles; miracles of deception. – For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, [which] go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. (Revelation 16:14) The spirits of devils can work miracles and it is not likely that it would be for the purpose of promoting the truth about death; when people die, they are dead. DOES ONE STAY IN THE GRAVE FOREVER ? The grave is not the final destination for human beings according to JESUS. Here is what He says in the Bible – Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. (JOHN 5:28,29) Notice that JESUS speaks about 2 resurrections. Those who have done good to others and to their own bodies and minds will be raised in the first resurrection. Those who have done evil to others and to their own bodies and minds will be raised in the 2nd resurrection. The 2nd resurrection will result in the death of those who have rejected the love of God and His offer to transform their characters in preparation for eternity in heaven. – Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power. (REVELATION 20:6) The first resurrection is the hope of every one who loves GOD and the foundation for faith in JESUS CHRIST. Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead ? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then [is] our preaching vain, and your faith [is] also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith [is] vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 1 CORINTHIANS 15:12-19 Here is something to think about. If the soul really did leave the body at death, then why would there be the need of even one let alone two resurrections ? Yes, not only does a soul die but it goes into the grave at death. What man [is he that] liveth, and shall not see death ? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave ? (PSALMS 89:48) The grave has robbed many people of their loved ones ever since the first death on earth. This is why death is considered an enemy in the Bible. Yet death itself will not always be able to cause sorrow. The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed [is] death. (1 CORINTHIANS 15:26) The Bible predicts the end of death. – And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. (REVELATION 21:4) This time is yet future. Those who love GOD and have died are not yet gone to heaven and are not yet praising the LORD. – The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence. PSALMS 115:17 While GOD loves everyone and will forgive anyone HE does not change our character against our will or without our cooperation. If it is going to be developed for heaven it must be developed throughout our lifetime and certainly before we die. Character is not changed by death or the resurrection. Many religions teach many different things about life after death but only the Bible teaches what you have just read. Loans For People With Bad Credit

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Eddie_Tobey]Eddie Tobey When it comes to loans, there is a bounty of choices available for consumers, from unsecured loans and secured loans to short-term loans, etc. One type of loan that has become increasingly popular over the last few years is the bad credit loan. This is solely because people find it difficult to manage their debts, and this leads to poor credit scores. With the rise in the number of people with bad credit, lenders have are providing those with unfavorable credit the option for a bad credit loan. The accessibility of bad credit loans has made it possible for those with poor credit scores to get the money when they need it. Thanks to the diversity of lenders and the financial products available, one can get some very competitive rates with bad credit loans. One thing to keep in mind when looking for bad credit loans is while you can find viable, affordable rates, you will never get rates as low as those offered to those with better credit. With bad credit loans, lenders are taking a chance on lending money to people, as a poor credit rating is a clear indicator that you have problems repaying debt and managing your finances. The lender consequently has no option but to raise the interest charged on bad credit loans in order to protect the company, should you fail to make your monthly payments. Generally, you find that bad credit loans are secured loans, and are typically available to homeowners. This is because the loan is considered a risk, so consequently the lender requires some form of security in the event the borrower fails to make repayments. Bad credit loans are provided by many bad credit loan lenders for people who have less than perfect credit. Irrespective of your credit history there are lenders who are there to help. You may be in a dilemma as to whether or not an unsecured or a secured loan is a better option. Unsecured loans are accessible to both homeowners as well as non-homeowners, depending on the situation. People who want to consolidate their debt usually apply for a bad credit personal loan. If you want to invest in a car, and you have bad credit, a better option may be to go directly though the car dealer for a loan. It is simple to apply for a bad credit personal loan online. Most application forms are short and usually have a fast response time. There are many lenders who provide personal loans for bad credit applicants. Some lenders actually specialize in loans for people with bad credit. You may want to mull over a few points when thinking about acquiring a personal loan when you have bad credit. If you have unpaid bills then that may be held against you, you may not be approved for a loan. A copy of your credit file is generally required by the bank, as well. This file says a lot about you and will be evaluated by any prospective lender to judge your credit worthiness. You may notice that you have things in the file that should not be there. These things could cause problems and lower your credit rating, so it is best to sort them out as quickly as possible, and have them removed from your file if they are inaccurate. Choosing a Bridal Shower Gift

By Trish Burrell You’re excited about the bridal shower, but aren’t sure what gift to select. Don’t panic. There are several ways to choose the perfect item. Let’s take a look. The registered couple Many times the couple will register their wishes at one or more department stores. This information is often included in the bridal shower invitation. It is very helpful. It will give you an idea of their style, enable you to choose a gift within your budget, and also help avoid duplicate gifts. What if there is no list? Use common sense. A young couple just starting out will need all the basics. Towels, sheets, and kitchen items are just some of the necessities. The host/hostess may have an idea of preferred colors. If this is an older couple, perhaps a second marriage, they probably have most of the day-to-day items. Something for the honeymoon is a great idea. Another option is to select a gift for their favorite sport or hobby. What if you don’t know the couple that well? Try to get an idea from the host/hostess. Ask questions about their colors, style, and needs. What do you purchase for a theme bridal shower? A theme bridal shower is the latest trend. The invitation for this type of party, will often tell you to bring a theme-related gift. For example, for a beach party, you could bring beach towels, a lounge chair, or a picnic basket. Children’s Wooden Toys

By Kristy Annely Play is an essential part of a child’s learning and emotional development. Wooden toys are a sensible choice for the very young. Children’s wooden toys include toys such as miniature farm animals sets for infants and doll houses for young girls and boys. Many wooden toys are also educational toys for young school children, such as puzzles, building blocks, and more. Increasing concerns about toxicity in plastic toys have pushed wooden toys into high demand item in stores and catalogs today. The use of 100 percent non-toxic materials in children’s wooden toys, such as vegetable dyes and natural colors in the manufacturing process, is essential. This feature is especially important in toys that are commonly used for small babies, especially teething infants, who are likely to chew on their toys for a long time. Parents love them because they encourage imaginative play in their children, and the toys are not reliant on batteries. Wooden toys are also more durable than their plastic or metal counterparts. Thus with proper care, it is possible to make these toys last a child’s entire childhood and maybe even hand them down to their children. While choosing wooden toys, certain aspects should be considered. It is recommended that infants and young children should not be given wooden toys with small separable parts as they may pose a choking hazard. For older children, toys like rocking horses and wooden toy train sets are ideal and helps keep them occupied using their imaginations. Most wooden toys, though a bit expensive, combine safety and durability. Available for all age groups in all shapes and sizes, you can find wooden toys to fit your specific budget in stores all over the country. They can also be ordered from several online stores on the internet. With such a vast range of functions, these toys also make excellent gift items. Wooden Toys provides detailed information on Wooden Toys, Children’s Wooden Toys, Educational Wooden Toys, Simple Wooden Toys and more. Wooden Toys is affiliated with Child Development Educations. Co-Dependency and Food: Trying to Fill the Void

By Zo Houseman Nice girls dont speak up. Nice girls take care of and support others. These are just a few of the messages girls often receive as they are socialized. Often in adulthood, these ingrained messages turn into full-blown co-dependency. Years can go by. Unmet needs build up energy; they demand attention. But without learning skills in setting boundaries, letting others feel their own pain and making oneself a priority, food often becomes the hassle-free, soothing balm to take the edge off and release that pent up energy momentarily, that is until the guilt sets in. We are in one of the following roles when we are co-dependent victim, rescuer or persecutor. Following are a few examples of how these roles play out in our relationship with food: Victim: You eat too much food. You gain weight and then cant eat what you want. No matter what you do, what diet you try, you cant lose weight. No matter how you eat, you seem to continue to gain weight, feeling worse and worse. Rescuer: The dessert makes you feel better, especially the chocolate. It makes you feel loved. You feel comforted and nurtured when you eat certain foods. You reward yourself with food over the smallest perceived successes. Or someone may rescue you when you claim you cant lose weight. Youve tried hard. Its not working for you. Go ahead and eat it. Youre not losing weight anyway. You can try that new diet tomorrow. Persecutor: Youre great at beating up on yourself. No matter what you do, you cant lose weight. Your tortured thoughts go something like this: Im never going to lose this weight; its too hard to lose weight. I hate myself because I cant control my eating. I hate myself because Im not following this diet perfectly. Im fat. Im ugly. I hate myself. How do you get out of your co-dependent relationship with food? First, pay attention to your thoughts I mean really notice. What are you saying to yourself about food, your body, your weight, yourself? Likely youll find that you wouldnt say those things to your worst enemy. Secondly, write those thoughts down. Ask yourself if any of your thoughts are really true about you or do they come from unconscious, past patterns. Next, ask yourself if you wish to continue to believe these thoughts. If not, forgive yourself for believing them and replace those thoughts with the ones you want. It goes like this. My thoughts: I always eat too potato chips, and I cant lose weight. Im so spineless. Are my thoughts true? I dont always eat too many potato chips. Ive been eating dessert, which is probably why I cant lose weight. Its not the potato chips. I dont know why I said Im spineless. Im not. Why do I eat so many potato chips? When I ate them today, it was after that conversation with my friend. I felt angry. The crunch of the potato chips helped me feel less angry. Now that I think about it, I eat potato chips a lot when Im angry. Do I want to continue believing my thoughts? No. I forgive myself for eating potato chips to swallow my anger. I forgive myself for calling myself spineless. New thoughts: When Im angry next time, Im going to express my anger appropriately and talk with the other person. Im not going to eat potato chips. I can lose weight. I am successful in losing weight. Learn to listen to yourself and not rely on outside cues for what you may or may not think and feel. Its not selfish to meet your real needs directly. When you meet your true needs, food is no longer a bandage. Then you can freely choose whether or not to eat that particular food without the intensity of unmet emotional needs. Its about valuing yourself and making decisions and choices that honor your value. New thinking will support your weight loss efforts. Laxatives You Find In The Drugstore

By Rudy Silva A laxative is defined as, A substance that is used to promote a bowel movement when you are constipated. Laxatives work by starting and stimulating peristaltic action. Peristaltic action is a wave like movement that occurs throughout your gastrointestinal tract esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon that helps move your food into your stomach, through your intestines, through your colon, and out your rectum. There are drugstore products, natural occurring foods, special nutrients, liquid preparations, herbal substances, and homeopathic liquids that have laxative effects. I do not recommend using drugstore laxatives or any other form of drugs to clear a constipation problem. All my recommendations are for using natural foods, minerals, special nutrients, or herbal products. And some of these natural methods should also be used only for the time it takes to clear your constipation. Recommendation: You should use Drugstore laxatives or drug laxatives only under Doctors recommendations. There are no safe drugstore laxatives. These laxatives are habit-forming and work by desensitizing your colon. Their use can irritate nerves and muscles along the intestinal lining, interfere with digestion and adsorption, cause cramps, deplete fluids, and create other physical internal problems. Laxatives can enlarge and seriously damage your colon when used for a longtime. Eventually, after continual use, you will not be able to have a bowel movement without using them. If you have been using laxatives for a long time, you will have to retrain your colon to activate peristaltic action. This training will have to be done under the care of a medical practitioner. If you are tempted to use drugstore laxatives remember that, Laxatives bought in drugstores are of questionable safety. Because of the action these laxatives have on the small intestine and colon, doctors and other health practitioners recommend their limited use since they, * have chemical side effects that affect your health * produce an active force that can damage nerves that control the muscles in your colon walls * desensitizes your colon so your natural peristaltic action is reduced * become habit-forming * rush food through your intestines so it does not digest and absorb nutrients or minerals properly * kill friendly bacteria, unless they are fiber foods * contain preservative, coloring, and other additives that are unhealthy. * Remove excessive fluids and electrolytes from your body. Recommendation: Never use a laxative, Drugstore or Natural, when you have acute abdominal pain, especially if the pain is on the lower right hand side, where the appendix is located. See your doctor right away. Using Laxatives for the wrong reason can be life threatening. If you use drugstore laxative, use them for just the time needed to clear your constipation. Then starting looking at what it takes to stop your constipation from occurring. Rudy Silva has a degree in Physics and is a Natural Nutritionist. If traffic and sales are what you struggle with, then you would not want to miss this incredibly powerful advertising method. Not only is article marketing effective, it is also free. This is why it is the preferred website promotion method by many online marketers and authors. There are hundreds of article submission directories that would gladly accept your article submission for free. Once published, your website is ready to receive traffic. It doesnt cost you a single cent and the quality of traffic is on par with PPC traffic. But there are some tips that you might want to use to put your article marketing on steroids. Article Marketing Winning Tip 1 Writing Informative Articles People are looking for information which is why they landed on your article. Give them enough information as unique and useful as possible so that they feel they have gained something. You want to convince them that you know your stuff. Article Marketing Winning Tip 2 Keep it Short and Simple (KISS) Be concise and to the point. Make your article simple to understand so that everyone knows what you are driving at. That way, you can reach the masses easily. Speak their lingo and cut away unnecessary technical jargon. Article Marketing Winning Tip 3 Pack Benefits into Article Title Tell your readers what they can expect from reading your article. The best place to do so is the article title. Sell the benefits to entice them to read. Remember that you only have a few seconds to grab their attention. So give some thought to your article titles as that is the first thing they see. Article Marketing Winning Tip 4 Write One for Your Website Since you have written an article, why not rewrite or write a brand new one for your website? Elaborate in greater details so that your visitors see relevant content on your website. If you have written an article about how to get started with article writing, you can add in related content such as how to find article content, where to submit your articles and how to write creative and attractive titles. Repeated exposure improves conversion rates. Article Marketing Winning Tip 5 Pre-Sell and Not Sell Avoid doing a sales pitch in your article. This is a Big No No. Readers tend to flee the moment they detect a clear sales pitch. Pre-sell them about the benefits of your product before they even see it. It adds a sense of mystery and instills curiosity. This is what you want to achieve. These are just a few tricks amongst many to make article marketing work for you.
